The Ce.Co.L. Certification is a qualification officially recognized by the competent Ministries that attests the level of linguistic-communicative competence in Italian as L2. The Ce. Co. L. Certification is divided into the six levels of linguistic-communicative competence proposed by the Common European Framework of Reference of the Council of Europe. The exams issued by the University for Foreigners "Dante Alighieri" of Reggio Calabria attest the knowledge of Italian by evaluating communication and linguistic skills.

The MUR, Ministry of University and Research recognizes the Ce.Co.L. B2 certificate as a valid attestation of knowledge of the Italian language for the purposes of enrolling in a University in Italy (MIUR Circular, 16/02/2018).
